VF-8100 Series High Accuracy/Non-contact Flow Sensing in PFA 

The VF-8100 combines an inline flow sensor and electronics into a single unit. Utilizing ultrasonic sensing technology within a straight-through PFA tube, it measures flow rate without any moving parts or mechanical seals. This makes it an excellent choice for semiconductor applications requiring minimal footprint and corrosion-resistant wetted parts. 

Operating Principle
By introducing a columnar object into the fluid flow path, Karman vortex channels are generated, and the frequency of these vortices is directly related to flow velocity. The flowmeter detects the frequency of these vortices using a piezoelectric vortex detector and outputs a signal linearly proportional to the volume flow.
