Applications
- General use: Vacuum wands are utilized to pick up and transport wafers from one location to another without adding particles.
- Sorting: For manual wafer sorting applications, vacuum wands allow operators to move wafers safely and precisely within a parent lot. They can also be used to combine lots together, add test wafers, and replace any damaged wafers, as necessary.
- Inspection - Operators can use vacuum wands to pull out a wafer from a parent lot and inspect it under specialized lighting to look for defects. This ensures that the process has been successful and that the wafer meets the required specifications
The WHS-V3 series offers advanced vacuum cord solutions engineered for cleanroom environments requiring reliable, antistatic handling. Each cord is made from blue polyurethane with a 6.35mm (0.250”) outside diameter and features a black conductive inside ground path, ensuring both durability and ESD protection while maintaining flexibility, even in low-humidity conditions.
The WHS-V3-CC is the standard model, featuring a 2-meter (72”) working length that retracts neatly when not in use, providing a compact, unobtrusive setup. It is designed for installation within 76mm (3”) of the front lip of a workstation or mounted on a wall or tool. The WHS-V3-CC easily extends to full length, offering seamless mobility across workstations and into tools for wafer loading.
All WHS-V3 cords are compatible with WHS vacuum wands and are constructed with a specially engineered durometer material. This gives the cords a lightweight, spring-like feel for smooth, ergonomic handling. The thick wall polyurethane construction resists crimping and prevents breakthroughs, ensuring long-term reliability.
These cords meet the highest standards for cleanroom safety, cleanliness, and performance.
