Manual wafer escalator (WHS-P2)
Manual wafer escalator (WHS-P2)
WHS-P2 Manual Wafer Escalator
Applications:
- Lot integrity checks - Wafer escalators are used by operators in semiconductor fabs to manually check the IDs of wafers before they undergo the next process. This is part of the lot integrity checks, which help to ensure that the wafers are properly tracked and processed.
The WHS-P2 is a precision-engineered, manual wafer escalator designed to assist operators with wafer ID (laser mark) reading and lot integrity checks in semiconductor fabs. Featuring a 25° angled presentation, this tabletop tool allows easy access to individual wafers for manual inspection, ensuring proper tracking and identification before they proceed to the next process stage.
Operators use the WHS-P2 by lowering a wafer cassette with wafers onto the tool. The ergonomic angle and built-in guides make this process easy and repeatable, ensuring precise positioning every time. The unique comb design provides protection against wafer edge chipping, further enhancing wafer safety. The escalator raises each wafer 0.200" (5mm) above the previous one, allowing operators to quickly and efficiently verify the entire wafer lot.
Available for 100mm (4”), 150mm (6”), and 200mm (8”) diameter wafers, the WHS-P2 is compatible with most SEMI-standard 25-slot cassettes. Operators are advised to use a wafer aligner before placing the cassette onto the WHS-P2 for optimal results.
Constructed with abrasion-resistant materials, the escalator offers excellent chemical resistance and ESD-safe features, providing a reliable grounding path to prevent electrostatic discharge.
Manufactured in an ISO9001 certified facility and CE certified, the WHS-P2 provides a durable, high-performance solution for manual wafer handling and inspection in semiconductor manufacturing.
